Other information

Attendance:

Report: Belgium got off the mark in UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2009™ qualifying as Aline Zeler struck with 15 minutes left against Wales.

Zeler winner
Although Wales proved stubborn opponents, Belgium made the breakthrough in the 75th minute when good work from Femke Maes and Kristien Elsen set up Zeler and the RSC Anderlecht midfielder sent a 20-metre shot into the bottom left-hand corner.

Losing runs
Both of these teams had lost all their Group 4 matches before tonight, their latest reverses coming on Saturday when Wales went down 2-0 at home to Switzerland and Belgium were beaten 3-0 in Germany. From the side defeated by the holders, coach Anna Noë made one change, bringing in Zeler for the suspended Niki De Cock – a move that paid dividends. These countries meet again in Wales on 17 February.
