Licensing News - Five Clubs Submit Licensing Appeals
Posted: 17 April 2006
Five Welsh Premier League Clubs have appealed against the decision of the Club Licensing First Instance Body. Haverfordwest County, Llanelli AFC, Port Talbot Town, Rhyl FC and Welshpool Town have all submitted appeals to the FAW's Independent Licensing Appeals Body.
The Appeals Body will meet in Cardiff on Tuesday May 16th to assess the appeals, which will have a huge impact on the UEFA Competition Representatives for next Season. TNS have been granted a Licence and will play in the Champions League. Similarly, Carmarthen Town have a Licence and will play in the Intertoto Cup as the fourth placed team. The UEFA Cup places will go to Rhyl and Llanelli, subject to their Appeals. If either are unsuccessful in their appeals, then the UEFA Cup places will go to the next highest placed Licensed club. A Press Release will be available at lunchtime on the 16th. If you would like the Press Release via E-mail, please use the contact details below.
