News - Head of Competition

The Football Association of Wales is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr Andrew Howard, the present Assistant Head of Competition, to succeed Mr John Deakin who is retiring as the Head of Competition.
Andrew joined the FAW in October 2003 as Admin Assistant Club Licensing. The following year Andrew was appointed the FAW Club License Officer. In April 2007 Andrew was promoted to Assistant Head of Competition.
Andrew is well known throughout Wales and especially in the Welsh Premier League where his work in assisting clubs through the license procedure is very much appreciated. Andrew has also work with UEFA in establishing the licensing procedures.
Andrew takes up his new position on 1st June 2009.
