Wales ended the Four Nations under 17 Friendly tournament with a 1-1 draw with hosts Sweden this afternoon (Saturday).
Brian Flynn's team saved their best performance until last and were superior for long periods of the game. The visitors went 1-0 up thanks to a goal from Swansea City James Loveridge on 26 minutes and it was a lead they were to hold until midway through the second half.
The Swedes scored on 68 minutes, but neither side were able to find a way through for the winner.
The point was enough to give the hosts the title. For Wales, it will have been a good early season work-out for a squad that will be involved in more friendly international action next month with two games in Estonia, prior to their UEFA qualifying matches in Lithuania in September.
Those matches will be against Denmark (22nd Sep), Lithuania (24th Sep) and Belgium (27th Sep).
