FAW Womens Cup Round 1 Draw

The FAW Women's Cup Round 1 draw has taken place in the FAW headquarters this afternoon.

Last season's semi-finalists and finalists all received a bye, so Champions Cardiff City Ladies and the Runners-Up, Cardiff Met Ladies (formerly UWIC) as well as Swansea City Ladies and Port Talbot Ladies (formely Trefelin) are all safely in Round 2.

There is an interesting Ceredigionshire derby with Aberystwyth Town drawn to play near neighbours Penrhyncoch. In the South, new Welsh Premier Womens League team Cardiff City FC will travel to West Wales League side Garden Village and in the north another new top-flight club Llandudno Junction Ladies will host fellow Welsh Premier side Llanidloes Lades.
