An American Horse, Maximum Security Wins Pacific Classic This Week

Abel Cedillo rode Maximum Security over 1 1/4 miles in just two hours. He made the record of 2:01.24 in the Pacific Classic after the top record of 2:00.70 which was made in 2017. Baffert also made a record of achieving a sixth victory in the Grade 1 race at San Diego.
Maximum Security Stunned Everyone With his Performance
According to the trainer, Maximum Security ran a good race and does things effortlessly. The other competitors who ran against Maximum Security in the race are Sharp Samurai, Higher Power, and Mirinaque. Higher Power came fourth in the race while Argentina-bred Mirinaque came fifth in U.S. Sharp Samurai was close to Maximum Security throughout the race but was unable to get past him.
According to Abel Cedillo, he had a great run. Whenever a horse tries to come close to him, Maximum Security gets pulled away on his own. Though he still had a little left at the end of the race, but he performed very well. Cedillo concluded that he is one of the best horses that he has ever ridden.
Abel Cedillo further concluded that the race went pretty well than what he expected it to. Bob advised him to keep Maximum Security off the rail. He was the one to just galloped across the track. He was also shocked that the outside horse was with them and stuck with them throughout the race.
By winning at the Pacific Classic, Maximum Security secured its place in the most popular $7 million Breeders’ Cup which will be held at Keeneland on November 7, 2020. It’s one of the great things that 4-year-old trained horse could achieve ten wins in just 12 career starts.
Victory After a Lot of Struggle
Maximum Security achieved another victory at Del Mar in San Diego Handicap last month. This was his first beginning in five months and under his first trainer by Bob Baffert. He was about to get at the top in 2019’s Kentucky Derby but later disqualified and placed 17th.
At the beginning of 2020, Maximum Security achieved the greatest victory by winning the $20 million Saudi Cup. This horse racing event is recognized as one of the biggest races of all times. However, his reward was put on hold due to some problems with his trainer, Jason Servis. His trainer was charged for using certain kinds of drugs on horses to win the race.
According to Baffert, he is just so happy for his horse. Whatever happened with him from the past one year was not his fault. After so many challenges, he has still proved himself as a great runner.
Gary West bred owns Maximum Security along with a trio of European horses. He has got tears in his eyes after seeing the performance of him. As per Gary West, he was comfortable throughout the race. There were a number of top horses that took part in this big event including the last year’s winners. Even though having a tough competition with Sharp Samurai, he performed his best and they all are proud of him.
Maximum Security’s trained already mapped about his horse even before the beginning. Once he takes the lead, he knew that he will be fine. He further added that he has never seen him confident before.
He was also not blowing when he returned.
