The names for team captains of 2020 sessions are finally out. Names of Sam Coffey, Frankie Tagliaferri, and Kerry Abello have been announced by Erica Dambach, the Head Coach. Their performance on-field and off-field was closely observed for the last year and it is decided that they would be an excellent choice for the next season.

They will be taking over the spot that was led by Amanda Dennis, Ellie Jean, and Kaleigh Riehlin in 2019. This Trio will lead the Nittany Lions as captains as per the official announcement done on Tuesday. Along with the captains, the names of team members and players were released as well.

Coach Dambach said that these three players- Frankie Tagliaferri, Kerry Abello, and Sam Coffey- are incredibly talented. They will serve as befitting leaders for their soccer program. The Trio is said to represent the 3 pillars of support for their team and will be responsible to push the team forward. The coach further added that these three players are ideal choices as they will bring a set of diverse qualities to the team.

Performing hard both in their soccer skills and academics, these student-athletes have displayed dedication and drive towards what they do. Sam, Kerry, and Frankie will be great for this leadership post for the University’s programs. Coach Erica also said that these will be ‘phenomenal’ captains for the team.
