A Quick Summary of Karamba

Karamba is an online sportsbook and casino owned by the massive Aspire Global. It holds licenses from the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority and has previously won an award from the EGR for its marketing and innovation. The mascot of this sportsbook is a colourful parrot who pops up every now and then, including to proffer players a phone that they can click to access the “Help” section. The Karamba brand hasn’t featured on as many Football shirts, billboards, or TV adverts as its competitors, but make no mistake about it, Karamba is a legitimate brand backed by a massive organisation. Football Betting at Karamba

The average Karamba football betting market offers between 150 and 180 different options, and this is true for most major European leagues, including the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, and more. FA Cup games and international games have an equally extensive selection, and you’ll also find a broad variety of markets for the Championship and other lower leagues. Most bets are available pre-game and in-play and along with the usual Match Results and Over/Under selections, Karamba football markets also extend to First Half and Second Half betting (Goals, Handicaps, Odd/Even), Corners, and Cards.

The Specials Tab

Under the “Specials” tab, you’ll find even more unique bets, including combination bets (Match Result and Total Goals) and bets on whether there will be a Red Card or Own Goal. Like most football betting sites, Karamba goes all-out when it comes to major European leagues but its coverage goes much deeper than that. You can bet on Women’s football and there is even coverage of major leagues in Central American and African countries like Mali, Honduras, Nicaragua, and The Gambia. It sounds a little obscure if you’re used to European competitions, but there are hundreds of matches being played all over the world every single day, and betting sites like Karamba give you some insight into them.

My Extra Tip

If you’re not sure where to begin away from the big leagues, I recommend delving into Greek and Turkish football to begin with, as these leagues are home to a lot of former European and South American stars. Once you’ve had your fill of the Greek Super League and Turkish Super Lig, you can venture over to the Middle-East and countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar, where huge sums are being invested in the game, making for some interestingly unbalanced leagues and contests.

Karamba Sports In-Play Betting

In-play betting is an invention made possible by the online revolution and it’s one that gives you a chance to bet after the kick-off. Not only does it allow you to follow your hunch and change bets accordingly, but it creates a series of new possibilities, including a slew of additional markets. Karamba’s in-play bets are extensive and they are available on most major football games, along with a multitude of other sports. They kick-in as soon as the game begins and are active until the final few minutes, with the markets typically being suspended around 2 or 3 minutes before the game ends.

In-Play Markets

I said that Karamba’s in-play betting markets were extensive, and I wasn’t exaggerating. At the time of writing, there is a major Premier League match that has 55 different bets with just 15 minutes of the game left to play. And this is not an outlier, as you’ll find a similar variety of markets offered on other games. The markets include Total Goals, Both Teams to Score, Match Result, First to Score or Next to Score, Total Corners, Asian Handicaps, and more. One of the most interesting additions is the ability to bet on 59-second chunks of action.

For instance, you can bet on whether there will be a goal, corner, free kick, goal kick, or throw-in between 79:00 to 79:59, along with every other 59-second block during the normal 90-minutes of play. Player Prop bets are available, as well, and you can bet on whether certain players will get goals, assists, or shots on target. You can even bet on how those goals will be scored, including Headers and Outside of the Box.

Other Markets at Karamba

As a UK-focused bookmaker, Karamba tends to focus on football above all elsewhere and, as noted above, it has a vast selection of betting markets covering this sport. But there’s much more to Karamba than a few hundred markets on the world’s number 1 sport and you can also find all of the following:

horse racing

Horse Racing and Greyhounds

Horse racing is probably the second biggest sport available at Karamba, with hundreds of possible bets available at any given time. You will find betting markets on all major race meets in the United Kingdom, and this is true for both flat and jump racing. The simple layout makes it easy to see which horses are running and which have been declared “NR”. It also shows the horse’s name, number, and starting price and betting options include Win, Each-Way, Forecast, and Tricast.

american football

American Football

If you prefer your footballs to be spherical-shaped, you’ll get a kick out of Karamba’s extensive American Football coverage. It covers every single game on the road to the Super Bowl, including the Super Bowl itself, and along with betting markets like Match Result, Total Points, Overtime Yes/No, First Score, and Handicap, you can place Outright bets on the eventual Super Bowl winner, Most Valuable Player, Draft Positions, and the winner of specific conferences.

Like every good UK sportsbook, Karamba covers both Rugby League and Rugby Union, as opposed to simply focusing on the latter. This means that in addition to major international Union tournaments like the Six Nations, World Cup, and Tri Nations, you’ll find markets for the Super League, NRL Premiership, State of Origin, Challenge Cup, and Rugby League World Cup.

Handball isn’t that popular in the United Kingdom but it has a growing following here and elsewhere. It’s a fun game to watch for football fans and, in many ways, it’s like a game of Masters/Indoor Football played with hands and smaller balls. Karamba’s Handball coverage spans the biggest leagues in Europe and includes the Champions League, where the elite teams and players contest one of the most prestigious tournaments in the sport.

Extra Tip: If you add multiple horses to your Bet Slip, you can even create an accumulator and stack those odds high. If you prefer four-legged racers of the canine variety, click onto the Greyhound section, where you can bet on major meetings like Newcastle, Swindon, Yarmouth, Perry Barr, and Sunderland.

Appearance and Navigation

A site’s navigation options and colour-scheme are very important, as they all add to the user experience and dictate how easy the site will be to use and how much fun you will have when you’re there. The same is true for the Karamba bet site, so let’s take a look at how its appearance and navigation features stack-up.

Personally, I’m not a big fan of the green/grey colour-scheme. It takes the gloss away from what is an otherwise well-structured and expertly crafted site. It’s also an odd choice for a casino that’s named after a colourful and flamboyant parrot mascot. A little blue, pink, red, and even a dab of black would have made for more striking visuals, but as things stand, it’s a little dull.

Karamba on Desktop

The Karamba desktop site is very easy to navigate and doesn’t overwhelm the player with features, pop-ups, and promotional imagery. The best sites are the ones that you don’t notice; the ones that allow you to enjoy the features without getting caught up in the aesthetics. Such is the case with Karamba, but there are a few issues.

Karamba on Mobile

The Karamba mobile app is available on iOS and Android. You will find many of the same great odds and betting markets, as well as all of the site’s promotions. Nothing is lost via the mobile site and you actually gain a few things, as it is easier to navigate and much more pleasing to look at on mobile.

Karamba Licensing & Safety

With licenses from the UK Gambling Commission and Malta Gaming Authority, Karamba is able to offer sports betting services to players across the United Kingdom and many parts of Europe. It’s tightly regulated, and with the addition of a state-of-the-art SSL certificate and a watertight privacy policy, it’s also incredibly secure.

Karamba Deposit and Withdrawal Times

Karamba accepts a multitude of payment methods and you can see a full list of these below. The most popular options include PayPal, Skrill, and Neteller, but as noted above, these will exclude you from the Karamba Welcome Offer, so keep this in mind before you deposit. Most withdrawals are processed within 2 days, but it all depends on your chosen payment method. Skrill and PayPal, for instance, should be processed in 48 hours and many will go through in a matter of hours. For Visa, though, you will be asked to wait for up to 6 days as the bank processes your payment.

Karamba Customer Support

The Karamba customer support team can be slow at times, especially when contacted by email, but Live Chat is also available and is a much quicker and more helpful option. You don’t need to be a member to access Live Chat. Simply click the little “Chat” icon, enter your name and email, and you’ll be connected. I found the support staff to be very helpful, although as is so often the case, you may need to wait a few minutes to connect during peak times.

Karamba Final Verdict

Is Karamba legit? Of course! Does it have an abundance of games and betting options? Yes! In fact, there’s very little wrong with Karamba and it’s hard to pick fault, but I do have a personal issue with the site and it concerns the aesthetic. Art is subjective. A masterpiece to one person is an avocado bathroom suits to the next person, and in my opinion, the Karamba green, grey, and, and white aesthetic is definitely not a masterpiece.

The good news, however, is that it doesn’t impact your enjoyment of the site, nor does it prevent you from finding the sports you’re looking for or the markets that you want to bet on. Overall, this Karamba review is a highly positive one, because it’s a site that will tick a lot of boxes for the majority of UK players.
